Our story

In 2007 two young entrepreneurs got together; one had a fight shop in Hawaii, and the other, who was also from Hawaii, ran a clothing brand in Oregon. After talking about it for, awhile they decided to work together, and Grappler's Connection was born.

From the start, we were committed to doing everything we could to connect with our customers. We quickly learned that people wanted gear that wasn't readily available in the US, so we imported hard-to-find gis from Japan and Brazil. It was an amazing time, but sadly by 2009, we chose different paths, and the Grappler's connection went on a hiatus. After six years, Grappler's connection was reborn. New partners, new products but same beliefs and same aloha!
